Hey Ian you might be interested in a book I am reading at the moment. I can lend it to you at the Bristol Barcamp if you are interested. This very example is made in the book “Made to Stick”. They take the subway “sandwich artist” and talk about how completely inappropriate it is. That Subway do not expect their employees to act like artists. They are expected to do work in exactly the same way. They can’t choose to slip some beef in to a veggie sub in the name of art.
