For Christmas, one of my gifts was an ace calendar providing helpful hints on worst case scenarios for each day of 2006. Todays one made me smile quite a lot – “How to survive psychological torture”. The second part of it however sounds more applicable to everyday life, work, relationships etc rather than actual torture (except for the horrors part).
Here’s the advice:
Do not worry about what comes next.
Do not dwell on what just happened.
Deal with each horror on its own terms, as it happens.
I’m thinking if applied to torture it may be slightly more difficult than the calendar makes it seem though…

I didn’t notice that at the weekend. I suppose Joy has a fair few pairs of socks, theres probably a few suitable ones there.
